ADVATx is a 589/1319nm dermal workstation — a solid-state aesthetic and medical dermatology laser. It delivers two wavelengths through a single scanner handpiece and holds 25 FDA- and CE-cleared indications, covering conditions from vascular lesions and acne to scarring, melasma, pigmentation and skin rejuvenation.
The 589nm wavelength penetrates to around 1.25mm and is selectively absorbed by oxyhaemoglobin — effective for vascular concerns, rosacea, acne (it targets C. acnes), pigmentation and melasma. The 1319nm wavelength penetrates to around 2mm, is primarily absorbed by water, stimulates fibroblasts and collagen for non-ablative resurfacing, and delivers controlled thermal energy to the sebaceous glands to regulate oil and sebum.
They address different chromophores at different depths, so the device covers both vascular/pigment work and dermal remodelling. 25 FDA- and CE-cleared indications. On 589nm these include inflammatory acne vulgaris, port-wine stains, telangiectasia (face and legs), rosacea, haemangioma, venous lake, cherry and spider angiomas, verrucae and warts, poikiloderma of Civatte, scars, striae, periocular wrinkles and psoriasis. The 1319nm adds fine lines and wrinkles, atrophic acne scars, mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne, pore appearance and skin rejuvenation.
Skin types I–V. The 1319nm wavelength is water-absorbed rather than melanin-targeted, which makes it particularly suitable for darker skin types.
None. There are no unreliable, expensive dye kits and no treatment cards. The system is open and free to use at the point of use, so the cost of a treatment doesn’t rise with volume — removing a recurring cost line that accompanies many comparable systems.
A pulsed dye laser uses a liquid organic dye as its lasing medium — a consumable that requires periodic replacement, and one that can become unstable with age, causing the delivered wavelength to drift.
